Is there any government legislation regarding children sharing a bedroom in England? I have been told there is governemt legislation regarding this and would like to know where to access this information in order to review it. Could you lplease help me.
There is a definition of overcrowding which takes account of the number of people in a house and the number of rooms(not just bedrooms). Very few houses are overcrowded on this definition. But it has no real significance other than it may just help you get up the waiting list for a bigger council house. If it's your own house I can't see anyone would be interested- you certainly wouldn't get state financial support to buy a bigger house.
Knock thru bedrooms to make dormitory and fill with bunk beds. Access attic - more bunk beds also any other rooms; outside sheds/garage etc.....'orphanage' if you move out; register as charity - quids in!
when i was a child. the rules were children can share rooms until adulthood. If the same sex. if you have a boy and a girl they can't share a room once th eboy turns 5 years of age. I belive that is a good i dea.
I also belive if you can't aford to have children then you really shouldn't have that many.
