False allegations

I am going through a court case with my ex over access/residency of my daughter. He has made allegations that are totally untrue and can obviously therefore not be proved. As nothing can be proved nothing will come of them but do i have to just accept that? Can people just tell blatent lies in court, or is there anything i can do? Sue him for false allegations or whatever?

Having been through a bitter divorce, I speak from experience. Don't rise to the bait, unfortunately mums can ignore court orders, not turn up at court claiming to be ill knowing that you will still have to pay your legal costs, not comply with contact orders etc and the judge will normally rule in their favour anyway, she can't prove it, you can't disprove it so theres no point arguing about it! its just not worth it unless you can disprove it or discredit her but don't be tempted with tit for tat as the judge has seen it all

sorry got that the wrong way round, your the mum but the same answer still applies, try to keep your dignity by not rising to it, if you try to sue the solicitors will be the only winners!

For the record i am telling the truth! I know there are 2 sides to every story, but when it is false, it hurts! and is very frustrating! and does not help us keep a civil relationship for our daughters sake. So in the end he is shooting himself in the foot!

Judges in family courts are used to that.It happens all day , every day. They'll not pay attention to it.They have had years in practice, before being judges, so they know very well what clients claim and the other side claims.
It's very annoying to the other party. That , of course, is a common motive for doing it.
You can't sue him.Nobody is going to prosecute him for perjury, either.If we did that every time somebody lied on oath in their own case we'd be doing it after most cases in every kind of court !

Yeah i know you guys are right. Maybe i am too honest! Thanks for all your views. To be honest as long as 'I' know that i have done nothing for my daughter to be ashamed of!
