i was in a nightclub and was repeatedly approached by a man and when outside was touched on the backside by him before he and my partner had a scuffle(no charges were made or court attended due to the scuffle) i then made a statement and was asked to charge the man which i did but now ive been asked to go to court as a witness and i really cant remember the details of what happened atal other than what ive been told as i was rather drunk. do i still ae to go to cort although i dont remeber anything? could i retract my statement? etc

Retracting your statement can present you with difficulties. See my post here:

why would you want to retract it?

because i dont remeber anything and i couldnt actualy even point him out in a room as i dont remember what the guy looked like. the thought of being put on the stand to make an oath and not even remember what happened terrifies me. ive never been in a court in my life other than jury duty.
