GBH 1 witness

My case has been on this site for a while if anyone wants to look it up. Basically 1 person says he seen up assault someone and that’s it, the hearing was on May and that witness never turned up, the new date was set in July and again the witness never turned up, now the new date is in Dec. and I have heard that the witness is now living in Australia and the PPS are paying for return flights for him to attend the case!
Just wandering what would happen if I couldn't made the date in dec. would the PPS pay for his return flights again? Annoyed this guy got free flights home for Christmas, who says cheaters never win!
