IamKing - this case is actually quite complicated. You potentially have more than one cause of action. I would suggest you see a solicitor on a free half hour consultation if necessary. The alternative is, try the Bar Pro Bono unit.
As has already been suggested, the three potential routes of compensation are through the criminal courts (as a compensation order, but potentially unlikely to be the full amount - have you completed a Victim Personal Statement?) b) the Criminal Injuries Compensation Board (not entirely sure they would pay out in this case or c) a civil claim againt the perpetrator (only worth pursuing if he has assets against which you can enforce a judgement).
