/// On one occasion, when they refused to let him in to see his daughter, he yelled racist abuse at them. ‘I will smash your head against the wall and there will be no baby . . . you ****ing P*** bitches,’ he said. ///

/// He also sent text messages to his ex-girlfriend which read: ‘You little P*** ***. If I catch you I’m going to kill you. ///

Judging from the charge against him, it seems the racial aspect is more serious than the threats to smash his ex-lover's head against the wall, or even to kill her.

sorry mamyalynne your post was not there when i looked
That's ok.
What is the charge?
Howson was later arrested and charged with racially aggravated harassment between August 25 and November 22 last year.
Howson, 24, of Haslewood Close, Leeds, admitted 'Racially Aggravated Harassment'. Sentencing was adjourned.
Sorry, missed that statement. The fact that racial abuse was used makes it a more serious crime and it goes to prove the fact that black folk CAN be racist AND be prosecuted.
Although it does not specify what Section of the Harassment Act he was convicted of.

is that a quote from the article aog or your own thought? sorry no glasses nearby and i hate reading news articles without them
pdust if you are using firefox at the top left click on view then left click again, move your cursor along left click and again and all the fonts enlarge then do the same only use the - to make them smaller
"Taking into account his victim was Asian and not white." what difference does it make?
AOG can't bring himself to admit that black people can also be prosecuted for racism.

It suits his position better to imply that the only reason this case came to court is because the victim was brown/muslim, etc.

The further implication being that had the victim been white, there would have been no prosecution.

That it in a nutshell, AOG?

We should keep this thread handy for the next time the OP plays the 'It seems that nowadays only white people can Ben charged with racist crimes' card (aka. 'the race card')
don't care that he is the first black anything, he is a ***.

The black thing is key to the reason the question was raised in the first place.
