Chicken soup??
Right I have just cooked a roast dinner and the remaining chicken is sat on the side, usually I would just remove whats left and feed it to my cats but with food being expensive and money being tight at the moment I thought I would make a soup?
But where do I start??
Any advice would be great I have all the usual stuff in the cupboard cornflour herbs spices etc and carrots leeks potatoes swede in the fridge.
Can anyone give me a recipie to turn this into a tasty soup??
Many thanks x x

take the meat off the bones ..simmer the
bones to make a stock ..strain in off ..
put the stock in a saucepan ..add herbs
or what ever you like ..add the root vegs ..
carrrots ,swede ,onion ..simmer then add the
cooked chicken when the veg is still cooking ..
thicken with cornflour ..it's a matter of taste..

put the chicken in a casserole dish, cover with boiled water, add tablespn of veg soup and all your chopped vegs (added onions & garlic, if you want spicy). Leave in oven for 1hr Gas 4 (slowish). Delish with freshly baked bread.
While you have oven going; make bread & butter pudding for afters, cook both in oven, pud above chicken.

Oh decisions decisions! The bones are currently simmering to make the stock and I did have to put a bit of the meat aside for the cats (cant have them feeling left out after smelling it cooking) but I just could not bear to waste any of it with my supermarket bills climbing! But at least this is a start never know I might get it right lol thanks guys x x
Ha ha mc noodle. No not everyday but I try my best the bread and butter pudding was great! But I told my daughter who is 7 earlier when she asked that we had toad in the hole for dinner and she burst into tears!
She took it very literally lol poor thing but was pleased to know there were actually no toads in it!
