I was beaten up by my partner now im being charged because she said i hit her when i didnt.

Hi,

Me and my ex wife got into an arguement the other day, so she threw a screwdriver at me. I packed my stuff and headed downstairs to pack my TV and all the other equiptment. While i was taking all the wires off she hit me on the head with the small home theatre speakers and i pushed her away i carried on packing my stuff and then she decided to hit me on the head a few more times,. All i did that night was push her away i did not lay my hands on her once. I was hit with my playstation 3 times, monster 8 socket plug a few times, with the wires and the home theatre speaker. She broke my brand new TV, my playstation 3. I went to my parents house she called about 3 hours later and said she is going to call the police me knowing i didnt do anything to her i said "go oon then" 7:30 in te morning police are knocking on my parents door looking for me.

I was the victim to start off with and now i have become the suspect.

I got arrested by the police charged with common assult and then when i left the police they were charging me with ABH.

How did that happen i would like to know?

i would guess that because "when she was attacking you and beating you up, you simply stayed so you could get your tv rather than removing yourself from the threat" sounds made up
also i dont really get "i didnt lay my hands on her once" which dosent really tally with "i pushed her away"
and a charge of ABH dosen't tally with a person with no injuries or any sign of any either

And in the real world, blokes who do have to put up with this sort of sh1t on a daily basis are ignored becasue the world finds it funny when a women stabs her husband.

When i say i didnt lay my hands on her i mean i didnt hit her or abuse her in any way.

I didnt reomve myself because i wanted to leave and never see her face again anything i left behind would mean i have to see her face again. I have been putting up with this for the past 4 years and just cant do it anymore.

The reason why i didnt go to the police because they normally laugh at you, i was embarrased at telling anyone what was going on in my personal life and then she was there emotionally black mailing me with her "im sorry i wont hit you again".

Now im left traumatised i left her house at 11pm she called me at 3am to say im going to get arrested and then 7:30am i arrested.

And yes, agree with the person above. If a woman had made this post we'd all be filled with riightious indignation on their behalf, however as it's a bloke we don't take it as seriously?

Common problem this. Whoever calls the police and gives their 'version of events' first are usually treated as the victim.

Hopefully you were legally represented and answered questions during formal interviews?

Yes i have bruises all over my head, hands and face, the police saw that but yet CPS is still charging me for ABH and Criminal Damage.

I didnt hit her at all but somehow she has bruises thats why the CPS are doing this to me, they have already killed me mentally if i go on trial then ive got to loose my job then theres no point in me living.

take photos of the bruises while they're still there; useful evidence. Also photos of broken TVs etc.

bednobs, why shouldnt he get his stuff? she may destroy it in a fit of anger, he never complained about her hitting him, he obviously "coped" enough to get his few belongings together, in anycase he didnt report her for assault, he left. it was her that sent the police in.

im not saying he shouldnt get it, just that it sounds made up that someone is "beating you up" yet you dont just leave, you stay to retrieve your telly which is broken anyway

i dont have pictures of the tv, i have pictures of my playstation 3 with my blood all over it.

I coped with her hitting me all this time because i didnt know where to turn i lost my family and friends over the years of being with her. I became a laughing stock to the police who interviewed me, the officer always grinned when i said i didnt hit her she hit me.

How do i prove i didnt hit her? and then she called the police 3 hours after i left so who did hit her im thinking she did it to herself to get me locked up or got one of her mates or their boyfriends to do it and put the blame on me.

I recieved a txt from her yesterday i can clearly tell that it wasnt her that wrote the txt, im on bail not to contact her directly or indirectly but she can contact me if she wants wheres the equality in that

May I ask - was the argument connected in any way with all that equipment (for example, are you spending too much time on your electrical gadgets and not giving her enough attention?)

mrs.chappie- I didnt spend time on gadgets to be honest i was doing everything i can to keep her happy but what i was doing wasnt good enough for her. I spent more time with her than anything because she didnt have a family she was in foster care when i met her.

Cazz your right threre is no excuse for voilence regardless i dont even like arguing forget about fighting im not a big strong man or a person that knows how to fight, i called my friend to pick me up when i got my stuff downstairs. Hes eyes started going teary because i was bleeding from my head mouth and nose and he cudnt say anything to comfort me.

But even after all this proof i have that i was the one who was getting beaten up im still the suspect and its emotionally killing me.
