If i have a conditional discharge but no fine only court costs,is this still classed as a crimial record ? somebody just told me i would have had a fine ! but all i got was 12months cd and £60 court costs. thanks

yes, you were found guilty or pleaded guilty. you have a criminal record.

yes it was my son.
if you're going to post in Law, it's probably best to be honest about it.

I am very honest,it was just a quick question,so didnt think it mattered whom it was regarding.
You must also remember that, if you are convicted of any other offence, however minor, during the 12 months, then the Court can re-activate the original sentence
