Need help, caught shoplifting at 15 now 18

Hi, I was caught shoplifiting at a superdrug store at the age of 15 (i admit it was stupid and i regret this). The shop security took mine and my freinds details, even though it was my first time they decided to contact the police. I was arrested with my freind and we were taken to the police station the day after.
When there they asked me why i did it, and they interviewed me. I admitted to the offence and said i was sorry, and the intiviewer there dicided to take my mug shot, DNA and details. I was then taken home and after a week i was demanded to pay the fine from the store.
I would like to know if this whould go against me in a CRB check if i was to apply to a job, or if it is concidered me being a criminal, or if what i was given was a caution.
I was 15 at the time so i just remember it being a troumatic time. Would this be concidered a minor because i was under the age of 16? I would also like to add that i did not go to court.

However any CRB check will show any cautions the person might have recorded against their name on the Police National Computer. Up until last year the police used discretionary powers to delete certain minor matters (such as cautions against minors) from the PNC after a certain period of time. However, following a High Court ruling last October, the police now retain all information on the PNC until a person's 100th birthday.
Even if you did apply for employment where a CRB check was required, it's probably unlikely that your caution would be deemed relevant. The only exception might be for getting into the police force. (35% of all UK males acquire a criminal record before the age of 30. There would be a massive gap in the workforce in anyone who'd ever committed a crime couldn't get work!).

i was in the same situation as you! being a minor and peir pressure etc i was cautioned for shoplifting and yes it will be on there. you need to declare it at interview stages if you are asked! i have been doing my job 5years plus now and my employer was grateful i declared it.
