My daughter went to the next sale at 5 am this morning as she does every year and she said woman were taking the clothes off the rails in armfulls not even looking to see what they had. She picked off a pair of Jeans and by the time she put them in the bag to have another pair the whole railfull was gone in one swipe. Same at the handbags one woman had nearly the lot. It is clear to see that these are going to be resold on the markets ect.
I always go about a week after the sale when people like this have brought most things back. There are people who sell the stuff on ebay too. I have seen this in M & S when they have a sale.
I have a Next Directory so had a preview and ordered on Thursday - needed a new pair of sandals as the sole fell off my old ones!!
This seems to happen nearly all the time with the Next sales, stuff is so cheap people can legitimately resell in on eBay or at car boots and make a nice profit.
I know what you're saying but there is nothing legally wrong here, people are just being very selfish, it would probably be illegal to stop mass buying, and at the end of the day, they want to get rid of this stuff as quickly as possible, it works in their favour.
Wendilla was your daughter upset because she didn't get a chance to get anything because these mass purchasers took everything? There should be some kind of fairness policy but unfortunately there are more shoppers than shop staff and to be honest it really is a survival of the fittest contest with the confident and outright brazen and sometimes rude shoppers getting all the best bargains whilst the more polite timid shoppers being left at the back to collect the "crumbs". In these sales unfortunately you have to leave your manners at the door and bring your pointiest "Barging elbows"
These people that have queued for hours as well and well back in the queue especially mothers with a few children to get clothes for are not getting a chance as the whole lot of say childrens tops all sizes have gone in one swipe. I still don't think it is fair that they should be allowed to do it like that . But that's how things are now and it goes back to the old saying that some people are just plain greedy. It's all right making a profit but give others a chance to get clothes as well for there kids.
Wendilla, when I used to go into the pubs on a Sat night, I used to try & wait my turn for service! does it work? I could have been stood there till Sun, people are so selfish it's unreal to see how they are, ME ME ME & sod everyone else.
I hate Sales, they scare me just how rude and nasty can be , all that pushing and shoving and grabbing..
eughhhh, not for me I am afraid, much rather do it on line after 12 midnight, if I was up, that is, which is very rare
Sales bring out the worst in people tbh this country sucks no respect for anyone, its only going to get worse.. U only have to visit other countries to realise how disrespectful people in general are in this country. I feel sorry for the younger generation of today.
