Does it say you should be supervised, or not undertake lone working? We haev lone working policies, what to do in case of emergency, locking up, etc.

What do you do when due a break?

I worked alone for 4 years, in a public building where I had to open/lock up. It was local authority so it would've been well within the law.

craft; that was my first thought but you're only entitled to a break for over 6 hours work so imagine it wouldn't matter.

what do you do when you need to go to the toilet? If you are in a shop, do you have to lock the customers out?

At my place of work you're not allowed to be in the building on your own.
