Rented property deposit query
We recently moved out of a rented house and I am in the process of emptying and cleaning it up.
I know for a fact that it has already been relet but was just wondering what the legalities are with my deposit.
If the landlord decided that something is not up to scratch for whatever reason can the property be reoccupied before my desposit has been returned?
Just trying to anticipate what moves he may try to make.
Thanks.

I would advise for you to go through your Tenancy Agreement thoroughly, making sure you abide by all clauses.
When you vacate, or upon the day of vacation you and the landlord can both meet at house and go through inventory if there is one.
Advise re deposit is that the LL should have placed your deposit in a protection scheme. Any disputes about the return/ non-return of deposit will have to go through Deposit Protection Scheme.
