My wife and i own our mortgaged property whicj is in both our names because we wanted furthrr borrowing we contacted our provider who stated they are not doing any new buisness ,but because of previous credit problems my wife applied on her own to re mortgage can my name still be on the title deeds or is that up to the mortgage co if not is there anything else that can be put in place legaly to safeguard my assets

i don't think so - no mortgage company is going to want to have a mortgage on a house that someone else owns. If your wife defaulted on the mortgage, they would find it hard to repossess.
The best people to ask is the mortgage company though
