Flying or driving?

We drive to France 3 or 4 times a year and take all sorts of things including, fresh meat, plants and trees, fats and yogurts, any amount of things, and we've never been stopped so far.

Off next week, hope I haven't spoken too early!
I would, as long as it's in your suitcase.

It says here you can import fish as long as it's disembowelled - which smoked salmon definitely is! http://france.visahq.co.uk/customs/
