I moved into a rented ground floor flat on 1994. In October 1995, l was looking into erecting fencing so l contacted my property owner to confirm my boundary area, as he also owned the flat above me.
He wrote back with details of area included in my flat and said l could put a fence up.
In 2000, he sold the flat above me. This was re- sold in 2003 and again sold June 2012. (This flat has a lease that is owned by my property owner)
The new owners tell me that the area l have planted trees and fencing is their land. They have documents
Showing this area which l was told l could put fencing up was sold in 2000 I have been told to remove fencing, trees etc.
Can he do this without telling me?

If he sold it in 2000 after you had already put trees and fencing, then it was bought with trees and fencing. It's not up to you to remove them.
