Mm And Km Links July 2013 Week [4]
4 Answers
Here we are already at the end of another month. I'm fairy sure that Ulysses100 will post the MM Links Game on time tomorrow but email exchanges are still in progress so who knows?
If it all goes to plan, the introduction should appear in Q&P at 8:45am followed by the challenge itself at 9:00 precisely (or thereabouts). You will have until 7pm Sunday to enter your guesses but early play is advised if you want to optimise your chance of collecting bonus points.
X-ray is currently a nose ahead of beejay1124, Manxiemo & tearinghair, but others are close enough behind to take the lead. Who will it be? Take part tomorrow and it could be yourself. Game open to everyone, new or old.
I mustn't forget to mention our sister game - The KM Links overseen by seekeerz. That is based on the Daily Telegraph GK Crosswords (set by Kate Mepham, hence 'KM'). The game starts early on Saturday but play anytime before midnight on Sunday for an equal chance of points. New players always welcome.
I now declare the 'Shrubbery' is open.
It is some time since I have offered you an explanation of this thread.
'THE SHRUBBERY' has a dual existence.
Firstly, it is this thread where players can meet prior to the game to discuss [anything] before the games launch tomorrow.
Secondly, It is a Narnia type fantasy land where woody plants are grown, but where action centres around the 'Potting Shed' with its secret portal to a bonded warehouse. It has also been known in the past to nurture psycho-active mushrooms but the ageing hippies seem to be going to bed early these days - their communal bus hasn't moved in over 5 years.
My favourite definition of 'shrub' is 'citrus fruit juice mixed with sugar and spices then fortified with rum'.
A close runner-up is 'Quiet session of bridge leading to unknown section of garden'.
The rest of this thread is now available for players to socialise.
Come on folks, we couldn't have you missing your weekly fix of fun.
Until tomorrow then - Happy Linking

Hard to find but worth having in the booze cupboard for the occasional bit of self-indulgence.
Now you've reminded me of it I shall, tomorrow, see if I can buy a bottle.
Meanwhile I suppose Sarumite will be off to the New Forest to plunder
more of his favourite Psilocybin mushrooms to share with the waifs and strays that lurk in the Shrubbery.

Hmmm - a waif I am not (at least, not when I look in the mirror), and I haven't strayed for a long time...... but seriously, I wonder what has happened to all the lovely people who used to frequent the Shrubbery some time ago? Many of them don't seem to have posted for many months. Maybe they've changed their user names?
