At least two people have in the last week.
Loaf of bread £450
Cabbage £53.55
Never mind, if you notice it and complain, they will reimburse you and give you a £2 voucher as a gesture of goodwill.
But I wonder how many they’ve got away with, especially if the overcharging isn’t so massive.
So, check those receipts carefully when you shop.

But was charged £2.27 each at the checkout. Consternation! Complained, and went with an assistant to check. Turned out the shelf price was for another product. The assistant admitted the items were on the wrong part of the shelf, and that the product description shelf label was printed in such small letters that it was hard to read. End result? I got them for £1 each. Fine by me!
Yes, I have been overcharged at Asda on several occasions....but the secret is NOT to mention it at the till (assuming you notice there)...the cashier will just correct the mistake. Go to Customer Service desk after you have paid at the till....you will be reimbursed the overcharge AND get £2 for each overcharge. On one occasion I received a gift card loaded with £6 for three overcharged items. Well worth checking till receipt!
tell you what happenned there Frank, someone scanned something just to get the price just before you. Just make sure you get a till that has the big "start" button on the screen.
Heathfield, that happens a lot, not just in asda, in B&Q I picked up pair of pliers that looked like a bargain, then I noticed that the bar code was not the same on the item as the one on the shelf. You can't blame the shop really, the punters move things about. Just check the codes.
