Who Is Running The Country Today

something - who is running the country today. Is it still the coalition?

During the seventies 1973-4, Nixon was spending up to 90% of his time discussing Watergate in the US and how to get out of it. The US didnt stop being run. In fact people noticed at the time - that the Federal Govt hadnt fallen apart but that things WENT on....Kissinger eg and US foreign policy in the ME ( when it had one, that is )

The governement remains until officially replaced, even if they lose their seats.

As I understand things, Parliament shut in the middle of April and all MPs lost their seats. So basically the country has been 'ticking over' without a Government. After the election the previous government retakes charge until/if a new government is formed.
