What's the point in, being given bail conditions, then if those conditions are broke, getting bail again, the law is a total ass in this country

Breaking bail conditions usually means going into remand until the case comes up.

A friends X has been given a restraining order not to contact her directly or indirectly he phoned her 80 odd times after these bail conditions she reported him, he got arrested and was given bail again.
If this is a civil rather than criminal case, then custody is not normally an option. But she MUST report him every time he breaks his bail conditions. He will be warned of more serious consequences if he continues to contact her, it will be classed as harresment. It will also go badley for him when the case gets to court.
Can she change her phone number and make sure he does not have the new one?
