you said he had received a letter with the word CHARGE on it, what else does the letter say?
Does the letter your husband received have the word ‘charged’ or ‘charge’ anywhere on it?

i spoke to the police and said he wasn't arrested at the police station. I know its his first offence and aint u suppose to be arrested before they charge u or caution u as he has got a solicitor now as well.
Nalit. Everyone has the right to legal representation. I thought you would be fully conversant with that.
Question Author
oh sorry i aint sure we took it straight to the solicitor and all i know it has got 2 offences on there.
Kitten. You’re not reading my posts correctly. No, you don’t have to be arrested. The police can decide after interviewing you, whether charges can be brought.
Zacs, yes, that's what I'm saying. Sorry if I worded it wrongly. Kittens husband would have a solicitor present if he was charged with an offence.
What, when the letter arrived?
Question Author
they didnt say nothing after he interviewed him all they said was u free to go without charge, and no he didnt have a solicitor at the time when been questioned
yes

get a lawyer
So how do you know he's got a solicitor now?
Question Author
zac what u mean?
I think there is a solicitor involved already, PP. This thread is difficult to follow because there are a lot of crossed posts, not all the facts are clear and we don't know as much as the solicitor knows (we hope)
//and no he didnt have a solicitor at the time when been questioned//
bad move
Question Author
cos when the paperwork came we both went up to see a solicitor well booked for one and he seen us both
I repeat you need to talk to the solicitor, they will know what is going on. Now you say there are two charges on the letter. Go to the solicitor's office tomorrow morning and ask them, they will help you. Don't take your husband though, do it on your own so that they can explain to you without him interrupting.
It could still be that he has just been
summonsed as a witness to 2 charges, rather than being charged himself. I am very confused now.
I think we're all flogging a dead horse here.
Question Author
well i hope they can sort all this out
The main question was answered by Jackdaw - Yes, by way of a summons.
Jackdaw, me too.

Kitten, speak to the solicitor.
