How exactly do people expect we are going to negotiate trade deals with such an unreliable leader?
Other than grovelling, I mean.

...I'd have thought he'd like that :)

Krom - Yes so long as we respect that he will be looking for a business deal, one that will of course benefit the USA but no reason it should not benefit us too. If we go in all heavy handed and using put-down and hate language then no we wont.
jim, as I pointed out yesterday and you agreed, you would not like The Donald if he cured World hunger and created World Peace.
He will be measured by his success, the very fact he winds people like you up (Establishment types) shows he is doing something right. It will probably surprise you but many people have different views to you.

jim, here you go (although I admit to doing a bit of a Gromit)

While ymb is partly right in his "you'd hate Trump if he brought about world peace" retort,
And I'm a snob now am I ? That's a first I'm usually called a slob.

Or, apparently, the wrong tone of voice (I wonder if it's just the PM who needs to watch her tone or just everyone we send on a trade mission). Or anything too "politically correct" (a famously elastic term, especially in Trump's case). Or anything that isn't just abject grovelling, really.
And even then, Trump has no problem whatsoever with just unilaterally pulling out of agreements from nowhere or changing policy because he feels like it.
I really struggle to see how we can possibly hope to negotiate anything lasting with someone who is that erratic.

It's not actually that erratic. Personally I can usually see where he is coming from and why. If you think he is going to act like an Establishment politician then you will (and clearly are) be disappointed.
As for the PM she often does come over as high and mighty, it's not just the tone of voice but her whole demeanour. We have seen it with others too, she thinks she knows best and *** everyone else. That will not work with President Trump.
Basically if any politicians had any proper jobs before going to politics then they may be able to work with him. Establishment politicians (part of the swamp) will struggle.
And so far, I have seen nothing wrong with his understanding pf 'politically correct'.
