They did not help his condition, they lead him to brain damage and a heart attack. His life is now completely over. He is in a vegetable state

If it was my child i'd be pushing charges on the police. The situation could have been different if they did not drag him unconscious with a broken neck, or get into a scuffle with him. Horrific.
If my friend was unconscious with a broken neck and i decided to aggressively drag him to a van and take him to a police station, that would be a criminal offence. It's assault.

Imprisonment for Gross Misconduct is *not* an option on the Statute Books, spath.
There is no argument that the officers behaved disgracefully (after the fact, especially) which is why they were sacked. They may well have exacerbated the injuries suffered by Mr Cole, but they didn't cause them.....which will be of absolutely no comfort to him or his family.
The Officers have been dismissed and that will resonate through the years when they apply for employment elsewhere. Perhaps that is also appropriate punishment....
