Parking On Someone Else's Drive - Without Permission ????
6 Answers
Having a bit of a debate here, so wouldn't mind this clearing up please.
Where does the law stand if someone comes and parks on your drive (without your permission)? If they cause no damage and are not blocking any cars in, or causing an obstruction of any kind, would the police get involved??
If they were blocking your car in, or causing some other kind of obstruction, would the police get involved now??
Is it just a civil matter that the police wouldn't bother getting involved in?
What would happen if you forcibly moved the obstructing car on to the street (no damage of any kind) - could the owner pursue you for any kind of infringement?
How about if they got a parking ticket due to you placing their car on the street?
So many questions .... thanks for any replies :)

I didn’t have a car, so the neighbour felt he could use my drive as his. My landlord asked him politely not to, then told him not to and then threatened to go further. It didn’t go further.
I can’t imagine the police being interested in any of your scenarios. It would be a civil matter.

//// I sometiems wonder how long it would have taken him to move if he'd found all his tyres had gone flat. ////
Fight fire with fire - that's the spirit :)
This hasn't happened to anyone - just a discussion I was having earlier.
We have CCTV around our house and our drive is also covered. If I ever found myself in this situation, I know that the CCTV would have mysteriously powered off .... and there would be no witnesses for .... well .... whatever .....
