Boiler Service Cost

What do other Abers pay for a gas boiler service? I've been quoted (and am waiting for other quotes) £80, which seems steep to me.

Ours was an expensive Baxi one about 8 yrs ago and the service is usually around £50

Yes Brainiac, we've just had one done and it was about £90+. Can't remember the exact amount

We have the boiler and gas fire serviced for £70.

The advantage of living in a flat is that we can club together so roughly 10 of us get ours done in one day for £40 each which is excellent for down here where we often pay London prices.

Corgi registered boiler service, on worcester boiler £55. This is the Midlands.

I'm with SSE, and I think they charge £90 unless you have their cover.

We subscribe to British Gas Home Serve.Our service is due on the 15th but we don't pay on the day so no idea what BG charge for non Home Serve subscribers in London. We have called them out for various heating issues and one of the best investments we have made..

Thanks for the replies. Still seems high to me, considering - assuming theirs nothing amiss - it doesn't usually take much more than three quarters of an hour. Heigh ho, looks like I'll have to pay up, though I'm waiting for 3 more quotes.
