//Customers who aren't wearing a mask will be refused entry automatically and the doors will remain shut.//

Two things spring to mind, one trivial and one serious:

1. If the doors remain shut how do other "law abiding" shoppers get in? Have they thought of a way to prevent "tailgating?"

2. How does it deal with the large number of people who are either exempt or have a "reasonable excuse" for not wearing a face covering?

Those in the second category are not "difficult customers." They are people who the legislators have recognised cannot or should not wear a face covering. They are breaking no law. Contrarily, if these shops insist on treating those people in a discriminatory manner they may well find themselves on the wrong end of a disability discrimination action. Still, I suppose they've thought of that. Or perhaps not.
What is the big problem with masks? My son drives a bus and you wouldn't get on it without a mask - company policy.
What about the people who are exempt?

I can't read the whole article. Daily Mail is so crammed with ads.

See above.
I'm exempt but I mostly wear one.
it looks to me (from the bit i can see - i too loathe all the ads on DM)
like it just reminds you to pt your mask on? is that right?
A tweak to that system could be an announcement telling the person to raise their hand if they have exemption then a staff member could attend.

Also a clear and unified form of exemption card should have been devised early on.
I found that when I changed Browser to Edge - there are not as many ads as there were when I used Firefox. (Daily Mail)
This kind of thing must be going on all over the world.
The thinking behind it is, I presume, that if only we do this, that and the other, the virus will somehow magically go away and we will all be OK.
Sadly, I don't share this enthusiasm.
It is all a bit futile in my humble opinion.
I am exempt from wearing a mask because of breathing problems, but on occasions when I have had to take a taxi or have had to mix with others I have worn one for the shortest possible time. And when I have had to enter or leave a hospital they insist a mask is worn. In my case it is quite uncomfortable for the first 5 or 10 mins then my breathing settles a bit and I tell myself this is only for short distance .
well I have found when I have washed my masks and finished off using a little fabric softener, there is a nice "smell" which makes it a little easier to wear.
You want to lose this daft notion that vaccinations would be compulsory.
You’ll be claiming next that AstraZeneca would turn us all into chimps ...
What about the obnoxous twit like the one a saw yesterday who had a mask under his chin but told everyone in the supermarket it was all a fake virus and we were all sheep so he was happy to shout in are faces and put us at risk. The shop did nothing. He said we's should watch the pandemic uTube film and see why his right.
lol, I liked the Daily Star front page this morning, ichkeria

In fac the Star consistently has funnier front pages than Private Eye.

Can you guarantee that? Do you trust Herr Hancock?

The underlying problem as I see it is the introduction of face recognition to enable a service. Whilst masks may not be a problem it has potential to be a downward spiral.

Still looks like most people have no problems with it.

You really do seem to have the most appalling misfortune. A few days ago you spoke about people shouting and spitting in each other’s faces in pubs (which I assume you had witnessed). And now you encounter “the nutter in the supermarket". What rotten luck.

I get out and about quite a bit and I've never witnessed anything remotely like it.

I was embroiled in a q rage "argument" last week
my accuser was a nigerian immigrant- and I thought it best NOT to sneer that Nigeria was the home of queues.

and all I cd think of was that lady in America - "If I had known I was going to get my ear cut off, when she said "5 items only" I would have put 2 aside"

I must get out too much
