Today I Smoked 6 Cigarettes And I'm Feeling Guilty
5 Answers
I'm a 21 year old woman. I'm a new actress and today we were shooting a short film from 8 AM till 8 PM under terrible conditions. It was freezing cold and we were in a rural area with no proper heating. We were meant to shoot the scenes mostly outdoors. This film is going to enter international short film festivals so any effort would be worth it. I suffer from minor thalassemia and that makes cold weather unbearable to me. I shook terribly while almost no one else did and the only thing which temporarily warmed me or at least distracted me was smoking. So in these 12 hours I smoked 6 cigarettes. I usually smoke only twice or three times a month. But today I overdid it and now I'm feeling guilty. How can I get over this feeling? I know I should quit, but that doesn't help me forget about what I did to myself today.

As for the smoking. If you only smoke two or three times a month...is that two or three ciggies?....you'll go back to that and forget today's lapse. Think about what others do that they have to feel guilty about and your blip pales into insignificance.
Good luck with the acting... it's been a difficult couple of years for newbies....x
