This paragraph intrigues me "If he had been a year older when he committed his crimes, he could have been handed a ten-year custodial sentence. "

Do they mean over 18? Is 10 years the maximum sentence for a triple killing by an adult in Spain?

no idea, but here he'd get a lot longer in jail i would think.
hi Barr' havent read the article
yes we have graded ages of criminal responsibility which may not be the same as consent to sex or to join the military

so stop screaming and clutching your bazooom when you hear different. This cd be homocidio doloso
or not
the same as manslaughter in England

I mean who cares what happens abroad, and if he had passed Latin, then the judge ( or jues - hoo-eighth) wd have knocked off 3 months.

Boris is back - hur hur hur - remind me to send onto you one of the sell out Boris dolls, the one with the extra large - - - wallet !

two things from this
juez is hoo-8th
homocidio doloso is "ommo-theed-eeo dolosa"

the wallet one liner is a paraprozdokian and occurs early in Aristophanes - in the Clouds I think
what the funicular ^^
their law of common intent is good
if you go to Ethpanya with a group of lads
and you say in the hotel room
and the lads go out and wreck a bar

YOU will be indicted as well.
The Angry Age, by prize-winning Spanish author Nando Lopez. Since this book was on his reading list, are we expected to believe this was a major factor in him committing such an awful heinous crime?
// Aristophanes - in the Clouds I think //

Ultimately the protagonist having been taught in the school of Socrates, holds the teachings of the institute in contempt.

Is this your way of saying you excuse the actions of the 15 year old boy?
It th THPAIN emmie THPAIN
they do things differently there ( durrr)
"Do they mean over 18? Is 10 years the maximum sentence for a triple killing by an adult in Spain?"

The link states the boy is fifteen but not sure if that means now or at the time of the shooting.

Either way, the relevant age must be sixteen and not eighteen.
no it is my way of explaining that the paraprosdokian rears its head around that time Aristophanes
in ( I think) the Clouds
( the one where he lampoons Socrates. around 405BC)

What is the matter with you, father, that you groan and turn about the whole night through?

STREPSIADES
I have a bum-bailiff in the bedclothes biting me.

Streps has been worrying over the tax man and he is saying he has kept awake being bitten - ( expect "a louse" and or flea) and there is the unexpected "bum-bailiff" or tax man. Aristophanes is a bit er rural.

Nothing like repetition to a class of 11 year olds
Homocidio doloso is manslaughter by gross negligence

juez is judge

however the lad was doing a Lizzie Borden, and had no regrets.

In Granada, it was explained to us ( it's near Alicante) that if you were a hunter you took up a hunting way of life. Hunted for the pot every day. And they were looked on as hill-billies, sheep shoggers, cajuns, red necks by the others who went out to work for their loo-lah . Soooooo, it may be looked on as one of the hill-folk butchering the rest of his family of hill folk. far too many of the skivers left

what the funicular Emmie, what the funicular

we always knew what a paraprosdokian was didnt we
https://www.theanswerbank.co.uk/Phrases-and-Sayings/Jokes/Question1764745.html
but it so much funnier ( foo funny yeah) to say you dont and then say you did really
emmie please dont slash at my attempts to educate
before this goes......

I did wonder when that was going to dawn, Peter Pedant.
deleted post
1. it is spain
2. different penal code
3. different ages of responsibility

they dont have manslaughter which it could be - actually on reading, it cdnt. Manslaughter in spain is homocidio doloso which is a completely different kettle of fish

but we really always knew that - didnt we

and some gormless reader says what the finicular?
