If the property is a totally seperate house and the parents live in one and have a mortgage to pay on another and you live in the second house and have a tenancy agreement then I really would imagine so yes.
If you live with your parent/parents and you are on benefit and they share all the facilities with you as a family then no.
You cannot get HB if you live in the same house as a relative who is your landlord.
If you live in a house owned by a relative but he/she doesn't live there then you can get HB if the Council is satisfied the arrnagement is an arms length commercial one, with a proper tenancy agreement and normal terms as to rent etc.
its not that dot, lol, it just that its clear that some people give answers to questions based on their assumptions rather than actually knowing the answers, and therefore often give wrong or misleading answers - as a few on this thread have - so it helps to get more than one confirming reply
( and you did say 'i would imagine so' which is a bit uncertain)
