I have had a claim running for just over 2 years now. but the solicitors i was with has transfered its clients to another solicitor who is a bit slow. i refused the first offer about 6 months ago and after numerous phone calls to the solicitor. nothing. What i want to know is can i change to another solicitor of my choice, this far into the case?

Write to your lawyer stating that you are dissatisfied and worried about the lack of communication and that if you do not hear shortly from him/her you will take the matter higher ie to the senior partner . You could also go back to the original law firm and ask to be referred to another lawyer. Sometimes it is the other side which is dragging its feet and your lawyer might have to be tougher.

Claims like this can take ages so be prepared for a wait.

BTW you do not say how you got your original lawyer -
through one of these No win, no fee adverts, or legal help or privately.

The original solicitor was with the rac. they handle a whiplash claim for me from start to finish in 3 months, but with this claim it was a different solicitor.
Contact the RAC and get them to help.
