is there any laws or human rights against using a dictaphone against someone in the privacy of own house, or planting it in there vehicle?

not a breach of human rights however any electronic recording belongs to the speaker/singer under copyright law, unless the recording is being carried out by the police/security services then a magistates signature is needed.
So if you are thinking of planting a dictaphone without the other person's consent then dont do it
I done it once. I use to record my ex on the phone making threats and being abusive. Then I gave it to my solicitor.
