Do military personnel records have to be kept for 100 years from date of birth? If so, when did this law come into effect?
Are the military allowed to destroy your personal files after 6 years? If so, when did this law come into effect?

When this came in I've no idea. If they've been destroyed in error I'm not sure of the consequences. I very much doubt if the entire file can be legitimately destroyed after 6 years.
