Basically, Deborah, yes you can. BUT ... you will have to notify your local education authority that you're doing so, and you have to show them that you're providing a 'real' education and not just having the child skiving off every day.
However, what, how and when you teach is up to you, because you're only required to provide a 'relevant' education.

You can but I wouldn't. If they are unhappy at school, get them into another one. I have been a teacher for 14 years and frequently come across kids who have been home educated. They find it very hard to make friends/work in a team/communicate with anyone other than adults. They also have huge gaping holes in their education and often have to be held back several years. It is arrogant to think that one (or two) parents can take the place of 10 or 11 highly skilled and well trained teachers, who excell in their own subject areas.
I would think twice before doing this.

Hi saxy-jag, yes I have heard of typos - guilty myself on occasion, but I'm sorry, this question is not spelt correctly, i is used instead of I, there is no punctuation and to be honest you have to fill in the gaps in the question yourself. If this was a teacher who was teaching your child would you be happy with this question?
