How bad is this?

If someone is caught drink driving and is given a 3 year ban, community service AND a fine... How over the limit would you guess they were?

Heard through the grapevine that my ex has been caught. This is his second offence of drink driving and he mentioned something about 54 mgs. Any clues?

Haven't got a clue...

My ex has just been done AGAIN got 230 hours community service and a large fine....

That's his third time btw.....

It isn't really relevent is it? the potential threat to life and limb is off the road and so alot more people are safe. Glad he is your ex, u are too bright to be with such a loser.

If the 54 mg is breath, that is just a little bit of the limit (39 is the cut off point).

With that penalty, the courts have used his previous for driving offences. The standard for anything between 39-78 is a mandatory 1 year ban only.

Was he still banned at the time of the offence?

Lucky not to get a custodial.

I would think if he has been given a 3 year ban and the other bits, he has either been a lot more overe the limit than you were told or he has been pulled up for a load of other motoring offences,I personally think if it is a second offence he should be banned for life.

Joe, no he had his licence back after being banned for 20 months previously. He had driven home after a party and crashed into 4 parked cars the first time. This time i don't know what he has done.

Ray, he SHOULD be banned for life.

Think if it is his second (or is it his third?) he attracts a mandatory 3 year ban. Unusual to get a community penalty AND a fine - are you sure the latter wasn't costs?
