Lets say that im goin to be buy a house with my boyfriend. I dont want him on the house papers but i need him to be on the mortage but i cant be on it. Can i do that?

You shouldn't be able to but it's surprising what some of the dodgier lenders will do these days.

To reword what you are saying - you want to own the house but you want him to pay for it. Hardly a recipe for a harmonious relationship.
most loan or mortgage companies insist on the lender being on the deeds,and if you are not on the mortgage as a joint lender,then you wont be on the deeds,so basically,NO you cant do it that way.
Seriously? You want the mortgage to be in your boyfriend's sole name, but the house to be in your sole name?

I don't know whether the mortgage company would be happy to do that but I'd love to know why on earth your boyfriend would go along with that??

The name(s) on the mortgage must match the deeds. Bizarre request ...........

I dont have the best credit and he has like 780 points. im scard that the rate will go up and also, I am putting 125g's down on the house and incase we brake up i dont want the problems with the house being his.
Bad credit history? 125K down? Jackanory
