I seem to think that the answer is yes, but it may depend on how long you were married, whether you have children and how old you are. I am sure someone who knows more will be along soon!
Surely if it's an ex wife then financial settlements would have been all done & dusted?

When I divorced I took a clean break settlement..maybe this is different? if not, please let me know ;o)
I think because it's redundancy and not a pension, the rules may be different. I know of someone who didn't pay his ex wife part of his redundancy money and he ended up in prison! I would check with a solicitor or CAB.
