Question for the ladies re men in uniform
23 Answers
A femail friend was interested in my career in the Army, so I was showing her some photo's I've had over the years, including some taken just days before I left, she remarked that she thought I looked good in uniform and if I was still in the Army, she would definatly "do" me. I explained that I've only been out for 3 years, and still look pretty much the same as I did when I left so how about it?. She said it was the thought of a man in uniforn that did it for her.
I have 2 questions.
1) Are all ladies like this? (shallow)
2) What is it about the uniform? I mean, take the uniform off and it's the same bloke underneath

1. no not all ladies r that shallow!!!!
2. personally i am not really attracted by 'men in uniform.' like u sed, once u have taken the uniform off the man underneath is still the same with or without the uniform!!! However I must admitt i am very very attracted to me boyfriend in his army uniform, but i think this is just because he is MY boyfriend (if u get me) and am obviously attracted to the person underneath aswell. Therefore the uniform just makes him look even more desirable!!! However, i am not attracted to any of the other men I see on his camp because of their uniform and therefore have great pleasure in justifying to u that i am not shallow!!! lol

perhaps she declined to 'do you' now because youre a friend rather than a guy shes seen in a uniform.
I have a very good friend who looks great in his bike leathers, but I certainly wouldnt contemplate anything more than admiring from afar because Im not single and hes a friend.
as for men in uniform, my fella in his firekit does it for me but a nice USAF suit (as in topgun) can always catch my attention lol
If that makes me shallow then so be it :)

I'm not sure I would call it shallow, John! it's just a case of fancying someone in certain attire..rather like a lady in a corset or stockings and suspenders, or a mini skirt 'doing it' for some blokes.
Back in the 80's I had a few friends who went out with squaddies. They loved the uniforms (not that they saw much of that as they were usually in civvies!) the haircut, the idea of a man fighting for his country. The protectiveness asscociated with firemen is another attraction.
So it may not be the uniform itself, but the primal need to be protected by a man which turns us on. What better man to protect us than a guy in the military or rescue services?
Personally I can take it or leave it with regards to firemen and squaddie uniforms. However show me a man in US Marine whites and I go weak at the knees. It isn't Richard Gere's fault either!

The main characteristic that attract me to a man is his character. He can be the most hansom of men, in uniform or out, be rich and famous. None of these will matter as it is only his strength of character, his intelligent mind and his warm heart that can win me over. And my RATTER most certainly has all three of these in abundance!!! :o)
You may find with some women, there's an association with a man in uniform to being a hero in a way, especially those in the forces, and I think alot of that is thanks to the movies.
For example, An Officer And A Gentleman, how many of you ladies like the white suit? (looks around innocently!) Someone pick pippa up! lol
Also there's Backdraft, the fireman comes out of a blazing building with a kid under his arm! What a hero! Ok that one actually does nothing for me but you get the idea?
When you look at it like that, it's not really as shallow as men liking nurses and maids!

lol johnlambert.....shallow?
I'm kidding!! lol
The point I was trying to make is that just because a lady likes a man in uniform, it doesn't make her shallow does it? There are exceptions. Just like you're probably an exception when it comes to men liking women in uniform. I actually used nurse and maid in my example as they tend to be amongst the most popular answers when you ask a man about their fantasies.

I think it is the caring, heroic side of things, a uniform makes a man (to me at least lol) - but it is the safe factor too, my last man friend was a gorgeous paramedic and he was just oh so nice and caring and gentle, and he saves lives too and was just so lovely - loved his NHS uniform too, but we wont go into that here...lol - another one for my memory bank....
