If you were caught growing a couple of marijuana plants what would happen?

And no I'm not growing it but it came up in conversation and we were very unsure as to want the penalties are.

First offence (no criminal record) probable fine plus costs and destruction order for plants

I am a Probation Officer and currently have someone on a pretty hefty Community Order for Production of Cannabis. Naughty naughty!!

For a first offence you will most likely receive a slap on the wrist and a small fine.
