I've recently sent my lg prada phone in to get repaired on the 30th of November. The fault is the touch screen is freezing...
Last week, I got a phone call asking for proof of purchase. So I faxed in a Paypal receipt clearly stating when I purchased (August 2007) how much I paid, what I paid for, that it was purchased through E-Bay.
So I phoned today, to ask if it had been recieved because I recieved no acknowledgment from them...
When I spoke today, they said that a Paypal receipt is not enough (Am I suppose to mind read and know this... it was nice of them to telephone back because they have my house number, mobile number and e-mail address)
They are now not going to repair the phone because I bought through E-Bay so the warrenty is now VOID, and so is the sellers warrenty because they sold on e-bay.....unless another receipt is sent to them?????
SO... If I bought a LG TV from Comet... didn't like it 2 weeks later and sold it through the local paper that would mean that the warrenty is now VOID with the manufacturer is that LG are saying?
The phone was launched in the UK in March 2007 so the phone is not even a year old.
I contacted Watchdog tonight and asked for their advice, what do I do??????????
