You must remember you are "on probation" for the first two years. If you clock up six or more penalty points during that time you will lose your licence and go back to being a learner. You will have to reapply for a provisional licence and take both the theory and the practical driving test all over again.
It doesn't make any difference that your uncle was in the car with you - YOU had no insurance and should have known better.

I was once hit by a 14 year old driver with (obviously) no insurance. I was 18 at the time and i could not afford to fix my mini. I was working as an apprentice at the time and saved the money for the car and my own (3rd Party) insurance over 12 months. Because the other driver had no insurance i could not claim and lost my first hard earned car (caught the bus to work for 8 months following)
Driving with no insurance - Thats very naughty, i think going back to L plates and 200 is a light punishment (almost 8 months bus fair)

As has been said, if you accept the fixed penalty the matter will be done and dusted and you will have six points. The DVLA will revoke your full licence as soon as they learn of the points.
Attending court would have make little difference, except that the fine will probably be higher and you will have to pay prosecution costs. Magistrates are obliged to impose a minimum of six points for no insurance.
The revocation of your licence is done by the DVLA and the magistrates have no part in that.
The only thing you could do is to ask the magistrates to impose a short disqualification instead of imposing points. They are not likely to this for a first offence but a solicitor may be able to persuade them to do so. You will be banned from driving entirely for a short period, but following the ban you would still retain your full licence. A ban does not result in revocation in the same way as six or more points does.
