This being the first weekend of the month, we have a new setter for the MM Links game and welcome King Fordward to the throne. He nearly backed out after winning the January game but was finally persuaded to set the links for you. Although his work means that he cannot always be available to post at the specified time, his introduction and chosen words will be posted by myself at the usual time.
King Fordward is also out this evening so is unlikely to visit the shrubbery tonight. However, the shrubbery is open for the rest of you to scheme strategies, ponder possibilities and muse on the mechanisms of the male mind. Strix, ulysses100 and particularly Magyar managed rare glimpses into the mind of Pauline last month, but who will be able to fathom the mind of King Fordward? Will there be any clues in his preamble? Will you be able to spot them if there are? Will a virtual alcoholic haze help you to get on his wavelength? Only time will tell.
As usual, the bonus points will be there for the taking as you nurse your hangovers out of the shrubbery at 9:00 am tomorrow and remember that King Fordward's thread will be opened by gen2 at about 8.45 in the morning. The MM Link Game should then be officially launched when the four words to be linked are posted at 9.00am. Then it is up to yourselves.
The international version of this same game is called KM Links and kicks off at the unearthly hour of about 06.30am! Look out for seekeerz from Oz who provides the entertainment, refreshments and rule of law when dealing with that parallel game. In this case, the choice of words and their links are out of our control. They are the grey words chosen by Kate Mepham in her Crosswords in the Daily Telegraph on Saturday and Monday!

jan1956, I wondered if they were all so horrified by looking at their credit card statements they were trying to avoid buying a round of drinks in the shrubbery.
Hey Jan...I won't be here for the start of the game in the morning. The car has got to go in for it's MOT..and like a bright spark I agreed to drop it in at 9 in the morning..what was I thinking??
I will leave it to you and the other Ladies to score all the opening points and then I will get any 'last ones' later on!

Hello everyone, it's that "dizzy" woman again. Actually the vertigo has got worse again today so don't know how long I will be around tonight.
I was making good progress this week then I spoke to PW for quite a while and since then everything has gone downhill!!!!!! (only joking)
S perhaps you need to tell us all you can remember about your cunning plan and we can help you get it straight in your head. We ladies are only too willing to help you.
How come you all have the time to be on line at 9am on a Saturday morning? My Saturday morning....Up at 5am, have a bath, hang the washing out, empty the dishwasher, do a bit of ironing. 7.30 put make up on...set off for the shops. Do weekly shop at morrisons and M&S, pick up pastries for coffee, get back home at 9.45. Start the weekly cleaning.....errrrrm what am I doing wrong?
yes we are ok Pauline, carried on to work was a bit weepy, (shocked)
nothing that a stiff drink would not cure but it was 8 am so did not have anything stronger than a coffee
