Land of Leather
Purchased a sofa from Land of Leather which was delivered 4 months ago. Sofa is showing white patches which has had 3 failed repairs. Can I ask for a refund? Where do I stand legally?

I contacted Consumer Direct who were really helpful. They advised me on my rights and told me how to write my letter of complaint.
I also mentioned in my letter that I had contacted Consumer Direct. I believed this helped me alot.
The final outcome for me was that I had a different type of sofa in exchange. This is what I was happy with.

You're well within your rights to ask for a refund since they've attempted to 'repair' it 3 times and have so far failed.
You can contact Trading Standards if it is not resolved, but let Land of leather know before you do & this might be enough of a kick up the @rse and they may do it sooner rather then get involved with them.
They should also (or you can ask for) some compensation or a 'gesture of good will' for all the trouble that's been caused.
good luck
