Personally, I think that In A Pickle is far worse. He always seems to come up with some utter tripe just to be able to give an answer, always complete rubbish which shows that he just does NOT have a clue about the subject. Why on earth this total T W A T thinks thay anyone is interested in his puerile opinion, I don`t know.
There again, of course, I would not dream of telling him!

I think Mamjet is hilarious. Sincere apologies to anyone who is upset by his/her answers, but I read them with tears streaming down my face, they are soooo funny! I find it very hard to accept that people take what he/she says seriously. I wonder if he/she is a comedy scriptwriter in real life?
Apologies once again to the many people who are upset by Mamjet, but I am certain this is just his/her unique sense of humour. Please try not to take anything he/she says seriously, he/she is just winding you up!
Mamjet, please will you tell us something about yourself? I, for one, am a HUGE fan! What a brilliant sense of humour you have!

May I suggest those who are huge fans of mamjet go to the frivolous chatterbank and get their fix of him/her/probably it there. I have been quite upset for some of the people who have posted questions that have deep meaning for them only to be ridiculed by this person. If him/her /or probably it has any sense of humanity the puerile (yes I know I left out the e in my original posting) answers would cease.
I would suggest that anyone who is offended by Mamjet's replies just totally ignores them. Retaliatory comments just fuel his sense of humour!
I have a lot of sympathy for people who turn to the Answerbank for help, then get upset/disappointed/angered by users taking the mickey, but some of Mamjet's posts are so obviously tongue-in-cheek, I just fail to see how people can take it seriously!
Honestly, the only way to go, if you have been given a response by Mamjet that has upset you, is to just completely ignore his/her comments, then you are not playing his/her game (because that is what Answerbank is to Mamjet - it is all a game to wind people up).
I think someone once mentioned that reading Mamjet's replies lightened up their day. I know it is easier to do if you are not the poser of the question, but I really think that some of the question-posers should look back at the replies Mamjet has given, and try to see through the harsh words, and perhaps try to view them with a little humour?

I agree with HomingPigeon. I too have read Mamjet's replies in total disbelief that users could be taking him seriously. Sometimes they are arguing with him about his opinions and it is so clearly a wind up.
Whenever you get a large group of people giving opinions or advice, you will get some very knowledgeable, some twits, some wind-up merchants etc. What I am trying to say is, it doesn't take long for users to look through previously posted questions and to discover who gives genuine replies, who knows their stuff, etc.
And we should all remember the advice we are given from the Answerbank administrators - the answers given should not be taken as 100% correct - you should always seek advice from the appropriate body.

I'm with HP on this one. Many times I have cried with laughter over some of Mamjet's "nasty" responses. And I am considered to be a caring, sensitive soul (honestly!)
Of course it is sad if he is upsetting people, but for goodness sake, he is just winding them up! And the more they fall for it, the more he does it.
Perhaps if people are so sensitive that they cannot see through the wind-up merchants and trouble causers, they should think about seeking advice from more reliable sources.
I, and I am sure there are others, have been upset on occasions, by posts where I have read things I didn't want to read, but you just shrug it off and move on. The only way to go.
And the ABer who said that you only have to look through previous questions to work out who knows their stuff, and who the wind-up merchants are, is quite right. We have lots of great people on here, giving great advice, but you will never stop the comedians, so just learn to live with them!

Mamjet isn't all bad, look at the reply to a question I posted last week, not at all supercilious or purile:

Oops! I've been found out!
But I think you'll find this is a fairly standard reply from me for a sensible question.
I'm sorry though - next time someone posts something like " I got drunk and hit a car last week. I got a summons today but it spelt my address wrong - can I get away with it?" then I won't be so forgiving. Someone needs to tell these ***** to take responsibility for their actions.
