If 'you' are assaulted (put in hospital) and the ppl who did it are caught and arrested, then later,,,,i decided to retract my statement, and not press charges, before the court hearing what happens next????

As I understand it, the Police can proceed with a case of assault as a person cannot give consent for someone to assault them.

Yes, the famous case of R v Brown, where all the men had consented to being assaulted in the most bizarre ways.

Nobody had made a complaint to the police, but when the police found a video of the incident, all the men were prosecuted and imprisoned for assault of varying degrees.
