I have just paid my mortgage off 4 months ago.I have not received my deeds yet Should the building society send them to me or do they keep them safe

There is no reason for the mortgage company to keep them - in fact with registered titles they very often don't have them at all as they are unnecessary.

Phone them up.

Deed scan be far more than just the title register.

They can include copies of documents which may be required by the buyers on a sale such as planning permission, guarantees, warranties, title documents themselves.

Give them a ring and check what they are planning to do with them.
