My girlfriend started working in a well known restaurant chain a month ago but she has yet to receive a copy of her contract. She signed it within the first few days but they didnt give her a copy. She has asked for it several times but they havent given it to her yet. What can she do next?

For the time being, all she can do is to continue to hassle them. The employer has up to two months to provide an employee with a written statement of employment particulars.

If an employee doesn't receive that statement within two months, they're entitled to take the matter to an employment tribunal. However, it would be better to seek the advice of ACAS first. (It often takes ages to get through on their helpline but they're the experts in such matters).
