Dodgy websites?
My partner and i have both recently placed an order on a website and have not received our goods. We have emailed the company and had no reply and have also contacted Google who host the companys payment system. Both orders total approx 70.
We are now looking to report the company in some way- to claim our money back and to stop other people falling into the same trap.
Can anyone suugest who we would need to contact to do so?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have looked at the website - no registered office address; no telephone number.
I see you must have paid via NoChex, which means you did not use your credit card to pay the company directly, which may limit the credit card company's liability and ability to get a refund.
Contact your local trading standards company - although I suspect this company is operating from outside the UK they may be able to do something

And to help you further, it is impossible to buy new Tiffany earrings for 20.
Tiffany only sell through their credited outlets - there is no such thing as a Tiffany discounter or wholesaler.
Contact Tiffany - they will be very quick to take action.

Thank you pbeach i will have a look into that.
Ethel: Suprisingly Tiffany were not very interested when i told them, all they said was that they were already in a legal battle with another company (who i shall not name but are an aution website :) ) and that they would look at adding it to the list....

The web address was only registered on 19 August. The registrant's details have been withheld from the WHOIS look-up because they declared that the registration was made by a 'non-trading individual'.
The domain was registered through Gandi.net. Try sending them an email to see if you can get the site blocked:

PSINET (Telstra) is a major web-hosting organisation. It's unreasonable to expect their staff to know about specific issues with one of the hundreds of thousands of websites which they host.
However, they may well take action to remove a site if they're notified that it's trading illegally. Email this address
[email protected]
and tell them that
(i) the site is trading illegally by not providing a postal address ;
(ii) the site has broken Nominet's rules by registering as a non-trading individual ; and
(iii) you believe that the site is trading fraudulently (because you've not received your goods or had any reply to your emails).

Hi!
Unfortunately this item never arrived and communication witht he company was very poor. I eventually did get a refund but only once Consumer Direct and Trading Standards got involved.
Please will you do me a big favour and call Consumer Direct on 08454 040506 (http://www.consumerdirect.gov.uk/)
and report it to them. The more people that let them know the more action can be taken to get the site removed from the internet. They will also be able to help you in getting your money back.
Please let me know how you get on?
