if a company changes its name and has a new owner then the boss goes and sells the company am i still entitled to redundancy pay? i have been continuiously employed with this company prior to and after the name of the company changed names for 5 years the name changed earlier this year. can anyone help please

It means that the new owner has to transfer you on employment terms that are pretty much similar. This includes your right to a length of service as if you had always worked for the one company.
You require continuous employment for over two years to be able to claim a redundancy payment - if indeed that occurs.
