Could I still become a barrister/solictor providing I fulfill the necessary academic requirements dispite having had a drving disqualification 7 years ago?

Yes, you can, as Ethel says.

I know of a High Court Judge who currently sits on the Bench who is a disqualified driver.
Of course you can, although frankly, I wouldn't bother!!!!!
