Decree nici

I have just received my decree nici but have not yet reached a financial settlement with my husband. He has just told me that we have to settle in 6 weeks as this is stipulated by the court. I thought it was the case that my decree absolute was only issued once I had signed further papers and agreed the terms of settlement.
Can anyone please help... thank you.

not true. my partner had his nisi last November and the financial issues are are not settled yet. Perhaps he is confused that you can apply fotr the absolute 6 weeks after nisi BUT only when the finances are sorted.
